Santo Domingo
CUEVA LA ROCA
This cave is close to the santo Domingo airport, and about 45 mins from downtown Santo Domingo. You will need directions to find the cave. The cave is located on private property and the owners have converted it into a discotheque making for one of the most unusual cave entrances ever.

An entrance fee must be paid to dive here. Access is very easy and there are cement steps that lead to the entrance pool. The entrance is decorated and goes straight down though a series of boulders to the mainline. The cave rock is dark and there are no decorations, the water has a weird greenish tint and the whole cave has a dark ominous vibe. At the far end of the mainline the cave goes up a collapse slope to about 4 meters and ends in a choke. This system is made up of a series of collapses and boulders and has a hallocline at about 8 meters.
First explored by Dennis Bourret and Tobias Schmidt in 2000
The cave can be seen using two AL80's and is suitable for any configuration, kids will carry your tanks down for a fee and cars are safe when parked on the property.
