Santo Domingo

El Tildo, Guabancex entrance
This cave is near the santo domingo airport right beside the road just past the toll booths in the direction of the city on the side road(marginal) not the highway. It has 3 different entrances but we talk about the prefered and easier one here. The cave is on private property and a fee must be paid to dive, the owner (Antonia) only ask for something for the guys(her workers), you will have a very nice journey there normally you will get invited with juices, food and much more, make sure you go here with plenty of time because Antonia loves to talk and you need to be a good guest and spend some time with them. Access is very easy and a short walk leads down a small sink to the waters edge.

The mainline starts just below the ledge and the cave is very shallow and made up entirely of very sharp and jagged rock, there is a pronounced hallocline at about 6 meters and no decorations but the half disolved rocks makes the cave as nice as one with stalagtites.
Swimming up the line leads to a large but low ceiling room of twisted sharp rock, there is a jump to the right that leads to another series of tunnels and breakdowns. the mainline goes up through two separate entrances before finally ending in a large and shallow breakdown room.
This cave has very different looking rock than Taina or La Roca, it is very white and very jagged and dissolved like sharp Swiss cheese.

The cave can be seen with two AL80's, access is very easy and cars are safe if parked on the property.
